February 2026 will see visible work happening on Adams River as part of the habitat and restoration efforts.

DFO, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, in partnership with Skwlāx te Secwepemcúl̓ecw and BC Parks, is undertaking Phase I of a Salmon habitat restoration project on the south side of Adams River downstream of the Skwlax Anglemont Bridge.

You may notice some heavy equipment placing Large Wooden Structures ( LWS’s)  in the river along with some smaller Post Assisted Log Structures (PAL’s).

This restoration work is expected to continue for several weeks and will, over time, increase and improve salmon habitat for future spawning salmon runs.
