Past successes in hosting our Salute to the Sockeye Celebrations were only possible because of your involvement. Countless hours by a myriad of people dedicated to the education and advocacy for the returning salmon have built our celebration into one of the largest in the Okanagan Shuswap region.

Over the past couple of years, the role of The Adams River Salmon Society has grown beyond simply hosting our Salute once every four years. We have embarked on several initiatives and have been a strong voice for the wild salmon through education, advocacy and participation in several events - including the Wild Salmon Caravan last fall.

Through an energetic group of volunteers, the Salmon Society introduced an Interpretive Guide Program at Tsútswecw Provincial Park. The Wednesday Walkabouts are conducted weekly beginning May 31 to Sept 28, 2023. We will also able to open the Interpretive Cabin 3 days a week (Friday, Saturday, Sundays and Statutory Holidays) for visitors to see our displays and enjoy our educational programs on our new interactive touch screen.

Events Throughout the Year

This year is again the dominant year of our spawning sockeye and we will host the Salute to the Sockeye from September 30th to October 23, 2022

We have expanded the hours of our Interpretive Cabin and increased the number of Interpretive Guided Tours with an emphasis on school field trips. Our stage at the park has undergone improvements by adding an all weather removable roof. Covering the stage provides additional opportunities to host events in a more comfortable venue.

If you would like to book exclusive use of the stage, please contact info@salmonsociety.com.
