Our first annual fundraiser for The Adams River Salmon Society will help to keep the cabin operating. We now have a Administrative Coordinator that is helping to keep everything on track and most recently the Society hired an Interpretive Cabin Assistant to open the cabin on weekends (Fri-Sat-Sun). Help us keep Interpretive Educational Tours, Kids School Programs and working towards Salute 2018 going.

UPDATE for July 2017

Roderick Haig-Brown Provincial Park – The Adams River Salmon Society Interpretive Cabin is NOW OPEN for viewing. Inside you will find large murals showing and describing the life cycle of salmon and NEW soon, will be an INTERACTIVE COMPUTER where you can learn more about the species. Also too you will find brochures, souvenirs and friendly staff to answer any questions you may have. The hours of opening are: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 10:00am – 3:00pm (Statutory holiday Mondays will be open also).

Salmon Enhancement Program WAS in JEOPARDY

The World-Famous Sockeye Salmon program was in jeopardy of having cutbacks on the Salmon Enhancement Program (SEP) but thanks to a host of people and organizations the program was saved. The government listened to the many letter of supports for the program and social media posts; they took heed in cutting back any funds that supported this well needed program.

The Adams River Salmon Society AGM was held October 22, 2016.  At the conclusion of the AGM there was a First Nations Prayer, Welcome and Raising of the Little Shuswap Lake Indian Band flag by Chief Oliver Arnouse.

Interpretive Centre Closed for the Season

The Interpretive Centre is closed for the season. Check back in early 2017 as we will post when we are open again. The beautiful park is open year round for those who wish to come by.
